About Us

Meet The Owners

Originally from England, Fiona has an unquenchable passion for life. She has always been drawn to creative pursuits and new adventures while fearlessly adapting to change along the way.  She met John in 2000, and started a family with the birth of Sean in 2004.

Sean was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder early. His indomitable spirit and zest for creative play left Fiona in constant search for a place that would challenge him and allow him to explore his world without judgment. Fiona and John’s daughter Ava, was born in 2007. Ava is an intelligent, energetic young lady who is an understanding and devoted younger sister.

Fiona’s hard-working and loving parents have taught her to do what she loves: holding her family close and opening her home and heart to friends. After navigating the hurdles of an autism diagnosis with her son, Fiona fell naturally into advocacy. Helping other families was her next step. She has spent the last five years working at Sunnyside Preschool.

Almost four years ago, Fiona walked into her first We Rock the Spectrum and met the founder, Dina. We Rock the Spectrum was Fiona and her children’s home ever since. After recently losing her beloved mother, Fiona felt inspired to honor her mother’s unique gift for building community and family. Fiona is excited to share her unique knowledge, empathy, and sense of humor with all who enter and become part of the We Rock The Spectrum Studio City family.
